Switching to Eden was truly one of the best decisions we’ve ever made for our son and our family. Initially, we were hesitant about having support staff come into our home—we were concerned about losing our privacy and having unfamiliar people in our space. But the transition was smoother than we ever expected, and those concerns quickly faded.

Since joining Eden, we've seen incredible growth in our son, EJ. Where previous providers struggled to support him in accessing the community due to behavioural challenges, Eden embraced the opportunity and provided the consistent, thoughtful support he needed. As a result, EJ has found a real love for being outdoors—especially bushwalking and spending time in nature—something we may never have discovered without him feeling safe, supported, and challenged in the right way.

All of the staff—from the support workers right up to the management team—have been absolutely marvellous. They are approachable, solution-focused, and always willing to go the extra mile. Their "can-do" attitude and the way they treat us like family has made all the difference in building trust and making this journey a positive one.

The impact on our whole family has been just as significant. For the first time in 23 years, we were able to go on a holiday together and enjoy quality time with our youngest son—without one of us having to stay behind to care for EJ. Knowing he was in safe, capable hands gave us true peace of mind.

After interviewing numerous care providers for our daughter, we chose Eden because of their genuine, client-centred approach and strong values. They provided thoughtful advice, meticulously planned for various outcomes, and addressed challenges with practical, effective solutions—making what could have been a difficult change feel smooth and seamless.

My name is Jodie my daughter Abby is 25 years old, in 2024 we met with Gill and the team at Eden. Working alongside Eden has been such a positive wonderful experience for my daughter and our family. They have been so supportive in helping us navigate moving into Abbys STA home. They always go above and beyond.

We were recommended Eden through our NDIS Support Coordinator. From the very beginning, their team were excellent communicators—honest, reliable, and friendly—and nothing was ever too much trouble. 

Most importantly, Eden stood out from other agencies we had used, by treating my friend with dignity, respect, and genuine friendship. He was made to feel like he had a mate by his side, enjoying outings, such as trips to the beach, movies, lunches, trips on the CityCat, Australia Zoo, Star Casino and the Planetarium. 

The experiences and companionship Eden provided gave him joy and purpose, and truly changed his life for the time he had left. For this, I will be forever grateful.

Our son moved into an Aura home with another gentleman earlier this year and has never looked back.

I was quite anxious about this move as our son had a not so good experience in another home.  This was a traumatising experience to say the least and lead us to bring our son back home.

I was very fortunate to have a meeting with Gill from Aura who explained their goals and expectations for people under their care and also of the carers.  Gill advised that there was a house available for our son!  

This all sounded perfect, however, I was still very wary and cautious.  After a period of time, a date was made for us  and our son to have a look at the house, and meet with other occupant and their family.

Well, the rest as they say is history, everyone was happy and our son moved into his new home, which is exactly what it is - a home not a house.

I could not praise Aura enough, they really care for people and their families. The carers are just beautiful and all contribute to giving our son and the other occupant a very happy life.  The two occupants of the house

have become good friends and care for each other which has been beautiful to watch develop in a short time.

I have been working in the disability services industry since 2015. During this time, I have worked for several organisations with very differing levels of service and commitment to participants and their families.

I found Aura through the family that I support. At the time, they were very unhappy with the level of service that they were receiving from management level in another organisation, they were very keen to retain my services, and I was more than happy to swap to the new organisation. I felt like I was taking a punt as you never quite know how things will turn out. I can honestly say that Aura Lifestyle Services have far exceeded my expectations. The level of service, care and investment that they personally make to their clients, has been second to none. As an employee, I get great support from my Manager and feel that Aura is flexible and fair to their staff.

One of the highlights for me, are the parties that Aura put on three times a year! The lengths that the management go to are phenomenal. Great memories are created and everyone is welcomed – staff and their families, as well as participants and their families.

I have been with Aura since May 2024 and intend to remain with the organisation indefinitely. If you are looking for a quality organisation, I would highly recommend working for Aura or engaging with them as a client.

I was lucky to move with my client to Eden/Aura Lifestyle Support, from another provider. 

They made the transition for the client and team seamless. 

It has now been nearly 3 years since starting with Eden and I am still grateful for the support and encouragement I received today. Feeling truly valued and heard. 

I love how they support the client while having the outlook to support the family emotionally, so that trust and growth for the client can occur in an engaging environment. 

I have worked at Aura for about 7 months now, My uncle gets support from Aura and seeing how amazing the organisation has treated him I was so eager to get a job here.

This is such an incredible organisation and I'm so thankful to work alongside some amazing people, Aura goes above and beyond for both the participants and staff. They work very hard to keep teams organised and is constantly communicating with both staff and participants to ensure everyone is up to date with everything and supported.
