DSOA funding, or the Disability Support for Older Australians program, is an Australian Government initiative designed to ensure that people with disability aged 65 years and over (or 50 years and over for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people) who were not eligible to transition to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) can still access essential supports. DSOA funding helps eligible older Australians maintain their independence, participate in the community, and receive ongoing, tailored disability supports, such as personal care, equipment, and respite services.
