Disability Support for Older Australians (DSOA)
At Eden Lifestyle Supports, we understand that older Australians with disability deserve continued, high-quality support—regardless of age or funding source. That’s why we proudly offer services through the Disability Support for Older Australians (DSOA) Program, designed for people aged over 65 who were previously eligible for specialist disability services before transitioning to the NDIS.
What is DSOA?
The DSOA Program is a Commonwealth-funded initiative that provides continuity of support for eligible older Australians living with permanent and significant disability. It ensures individuals aged 65 and over (or 50 and over for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people) who are not eligible for the NDIS can still access the disability supports they need to live independently and with dignity.

Who is Eligible?
You may be eligible for DSOA if you:
Were receiving state or territory-funded disability services before the NDIS started in your area
Were over 65 years old (or 50 for First Nations peoples) on the day the NDIS began in your location
Are not eligible for NDIS but still need continued disability-related supports
Note: DSOA is different from aged care funding. It is designed specifically to continue disability supports, not replace them with aged care models.
