EDEN BEFORE & AFTER SCHOOL SUPPORT

Support around the school day, shaped around your child

A safe, welcoming and flexible service where children and young people of all abilities can feel comfortable, build confidence, enjoy meaningful activities and connect with others.

Making the hours around school feel easier

Before and after school can be busy and demanding for children and families. Eden provides thoughtful, individualised support designed around each child’s routines, communication, interests and support needs.

Whether your child needs help transitioning into the school day, time to regulate and unwind afterwards, support with personal routines or opportunities to build confidence and friendships, our team will take the time to understand what works for them.

We want every child and young person to feel safe, known and genuinely included.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach

Some children enjoy joining group activities as soon as they arrive. Others need quiet time, familiar routines or individual support before they feel comfortable participating.

At Eden, we take time to understand each child’s personality, strengths, sensory preferences, communication and support needs. We work alongside families and the important people in their lives to create an approach that feels safe, predictable and genuinely individual.

Children are supported to make choices, express their preferences and participate in ways that are meaningful to them.

All abilities welcome

Individualised support

Their time, their choices

An afternoon with Eden might begin with a favourite snack and some quiet time to unwind. From there, your child might choose a creative activity, spend time outdoors, prepare something in the kitchen, play games or connect with friends.

Activities are not about keeping children occupied. They are opportunities to develop confidence, practise everyday skills, explore interests and experience the simple joy of belonging.

Support begins with listening

Initial conversation

We speak with you about your child, your family and the type of support you are looking for.

Getting to know them

We learn about your child’s strengths, interests, communication, routines, risks and support needs.

Planning their support

Together, we agree on how support will be provided and what will help your child feel comfortable and included.

Joining Eden

We support your child to become familiar with the people, environment and routines at a pace that works for them.

Understanding funding

Ordinary before-school and after-school care fees are not NDIS supports and cannot generally be paid from an NDIS plan.

In some circumstances, a child may have funding for additional disability-related assistance that helps them participate in everyday or community activities. Any support claimed from an NDIS plan must relate to the child’s disability, be an eligible NDIS support and be consistent with their individual plan.

Our team can explain the services Eden provides, but families should confirm funding suitability with their plan manager, support coordinator or NDIS contact before using NDIS funding.
